Jodeci is an American R&B group with members DeVante Swing Mr. Dalvin, K-Ci and JoJo. The group formed in ‘89 in Charlotte North Carolina where Jodeci's members began their musical careers initially as two duos of brothers but after years of limited success, the brothers decided to joined forces.
The group signed with Uptown Records in ‘91 where they began to work on their debut album, Forever My Lady under the supervision of Sean “Puffy” Combs who was an intern at the time for Uptown. The debut album brought the group mainstream success featuring the number #1 singles “Forever My Lady”, “Stay” and “Come and Talk To Me.”
Three more albums would follow, each with their own respective hits but a little hidden gem came from a promotional single released for the Soundtrack to the 1993 film “Who’s The Man?” titled “Let’s Go Through The Motions”. If you haven’t heard of this single before, it’s definitely worth a listen.
